GRAY MORITZ (CHIROPRACTOR)

I was first exposed to chiropractic as a 12 year old experiencing assorted health issues around fatigue and severe knee pain.  After being allergy tested and then having my spine adjusted, the knee pain never returned and my allergy response has imporoved over time with ongoing care.  It amazed me that the chiropractor never touched my knee, but instead he explained to me that nerve irritation in my lower back was affecting knee function.  Once the pressure was released, the body healed itself! 

After completing a Science and Arts Degree in Anatomy and Physiology at University of Qld, I completed my chiropractic studies at Macquarie University in Sydney in 1997.  I began working as an associate chiropractor on the Sunshine Coast in 1998 and eventually established Family Wellness Chiropractic in 2003. I love the ability chiropractic has to unleash a person's ability to function optimally in all levels of their health including their emotional and chemical wellbeing.  My mission is to help as many families (including children and babies) to benefit from chiropractic as possible...so that they may grow to their full potential. 

MONIQUE DAMON (CHIROPRACTOR)

Since graduating from Macquarie University in 2004, I have practiced Chiropractic in Sydney, Country NSW, Country Victoria and now Mountain Creek on the Sunshine Coast. My passions run from music to cooking, and of course anything to do with Chiropractic and health in general.  My husband is also a Chiropractor, and we have a labradoodle-border collie named Reg...who is regularly adjusted!!!

My professional mission is to help people of all ages to achieve and maintain healthy wellness through chiropractic adjustments, nutritional advice, emotional stability and regular exercise. 

LOUISA DUFFY (CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT)

Chiropractic has been a part of my life since I was 8 years old; thankfully all my major childhood falls and scrapes were promptly followed up with a trip to the Chiropractor's office, so when I started working for Dr Gray over two years ago, I thought I knew all there was to know about Chiropractic...how wrong I was! 

While I knew that it was a very effective solution to very particular problems, the idea that it could also be used as a tool to keep my immune system strong, and my overall wellness in check was a complete surprise to me, and I still find myself constantly surprised by the endless list of ailments that can be helped with Chiropractic Care.  Just a little example of that happened recently, when a few of my work colleagues and myself decided to enter a mini triathlon for Breast Cancer Awareness.  I found myself struggling with the running section of the race.  I mentioned my issues to Gray as a passing comment, and to my surprise he was able to help me go from running 500 metres and being completely exhausted and out of breath to running over 2kms and feeling strong afterwards. 

I now have a 3 year old daughter who has been getting adjusted since she was 7 days old. She has already had plenty of falls and scrapes herself, and it is a wonderful reassurance to know that any damage that may be done is being rectified while she is still young. 

SUE POPE (CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT)

I have been under chiropractic care for 10 years now and my family is also under chiropractic care. I am married with 2 teenagers, both of whom have severe food allergies, so I am very interested in holistic health, as well as the links between healthy bodies/healthy minds/healthy environments.  I have a background in Education, and have also studied NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming), so I have an interest in the power of positive thinking!  This is my third year as a Chiropractic Assistant at Family Wellness Chiropractic.  I love working here in such a positive environment...with such lovely staff and lovely clients!  I am a big fan of mint and dark chocolate (I think this is a prerequisite for working here!)...as well as keeping fit and competed in my first mini-triathlon last year with the girls from the practice.

After 11 years enjoying working as a Speech Pathologist in the UK, Ireland and Australia, I was fortunate to be introduced to the power of chiropractic care.  I feel privileged to have been drawn to this profession - I love chiropractic and the opportunity to be Practice Manager at our centre.  I love that our bodies have an innate ability to heal and to function - and that by removing interference to the nervous sytem, we can give ourselves the chance to achieve our maximum health potential.  It took me 30 years to discover chiropractic, and I am so glad that my 2 children, Ava and Jett discovered chiropractic just minutes after they were born.  Dr Gray is their Daddy, so they were in the fortunate position of being able to be checked immediately after birth!  I am excited every day to see the families come through our door..not always to "fix something" but to keep themselves "tuned up" and full of vitality!   When new mums bring their babies to us on the way home from hospital, or better still our chiropractors check babies the day they are born it makes me smile to know that chiropractic can have such  great impact on their tiny little bodies.  The fact that chiropractic looks for the cause and underlying reason for problems in the body really appeals to me, and I now see many people benefit from having a nervous system that is free from interference.  Chiropractic is a check up for the body, just like a service for your car, and I am constantly amazed by the stories of how it helps so many people in so many ways.  

I enjoy spending time my family, travelling, good food and wine, swimming, kayaking, learning to play the guitar (this is an ongoing process!) & anything creative!  And just like Sue and the rest of the team....I am a bit partial to good quality chocolate!
